First Grade
Bible
In first grade, the focus of the Bible study is a chronological and thematic study of the Old and New Testaments. It also includes a study of Bible characters to include Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Peter, and Paul. Themes include God keeps His promises, God’s guidance, God’s care, God gives strength, the Bible, and prayer. Second Grade
Bible
In second grade, the focus of the Bible study is on biblical rule through a chronological and thematic study of the Old and New Testaments. Students will also learn about Bible characters including Noah, Abraham, Gideon, Samson, Nehemiah, Ruth, Esther, Daniel, Dorcas, Paul, and Jesus. Themes include God is my King, obedience, humility, serving, forgiveness, giving, thankfulness, surrender, stewardship, courage, faith, faithfulness, zeal, priorities, loyalty, joy, and evangelism.Textbook: BJU Bible Truths 2nd ed.

Third Grade
Bible
In third grade, the focus of the Bible study is on biblical rules through a chronological and thematic study with an emphasis on life application. Students will also study Bible characters including Cain, Abel, Seth, Job, Lot’s wife, Korah, Elijah, Jesus, the apostles, Peter, Philip, and Paul and his coworkers. Themes include sin and salvation, purity, life of Christ, willingness, friendships, obeying authorities, cooperation, dedication, and thankfulness. Fourth Grade
Bible
In fourth grade, the focus of the Bible study is a chronological study of the Old Testament which emphasizes understanding the Bible as one story with three progressive parts: Creation, Fall, and Redemption. Students will also follow the progression of the Abrahamic, Mosaic, Davidic, and New Covenants. Students will also learn that Jesus’ birth, life and death is the fulfillment of the ancient law. Finally, students learn that Christ is the perfect Prophet, Priest, and King.Textbook: BJU Bible Truths 2nd ed.

Fifth Grade
Bible
In fifth grade, the focus of the study is about biblical rules through a chronological and thematic study of the Old and New Testaments. Bible characters include Levites, Samson, Deborah, Jonah, Rehoboam, King Asa, and Philip and the Ethiopian. Themes include sin and grace, obedience, holiness, my body as God’s temple, evangelism and missions, and false teachers. Middle School

Sixth Grade
Bible
In the 6th grade Bible class, students will learn more about God and his plan of salvation for their lives. Students will be analyzing Bible verses, learning Bible study skills and critique responses to scripture. Students will formulate biblical philosophies based on a Biblical worldview. Students will have opportunities to write and respond to God’s word developing a heart and character that is pleasing to God. -
Seventh Grade
Bible
In middle school, young people face more and more decisions on their own. Soon they find that their new freedoms are followed by greater responsibility and higher expectations. Wise Up encourages our students to study the wisdom of God in Proverbs, allowing Him to shape their lives into the image of His Son, Christ and to apply these principles to their daily lives.

Eighth Grade
Bible
Introduction to Christian Scriptures gives 8th graders an overview of the Scriptures they will dive deeper into throughout their high school tenure. Students begin in the Old Testament and work their way through the Bible with attention to worldview themes. Emphasis is given to the Gospel of John and major events in church history so students can cultivate interest in the development of the Christian faith. Students will learn the history and structure of the Bible as well as overarching themes and storylines. Students learn how to use the Bible appropriately to understand God’s will for their lives and to develop a Christian worldview.Textbook: The Gospel of John and Walking With God and His People by Christian Schools International.
